Shared value, the idea that companies can compete on the basis of solving social problems is gaining increasing attention around the world. In March 2012, FSG published “Competing by Saving Lives,” a report that takes a closer look at how pharmaceutical and medical device companies create shared value in global health, by reconceiving their products and markets, redefining productivity in their value chains and strengthening local health clusters.
Learn what creating shared value in global health means for companies and other global health stakeholders. FSG’s Kyle Peterson will be joined by four panelists, who will share their experiences in implementing shared value within the global health sector.
- Karl Hofmann, President and CEO, Population Services International
- Duncan Learmouth, Senior Vice-President, Developing Countries & Market Access, GSK
- Ole Kjerkegaard Nielsen, Director, Triple Bottom Line Management, Novo Nordisk
- Kathy Pickus, Vice President of Global Citizenship and Policy, Abbott
We hope you’ll join us for an interactive discussion as we explore how companies, often in partnership with NGOs and others, are acting on unmet health needs in ways that also benefit their businesses.
