LA Kings Visit Patients at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
AEG’s Kings players and team mascot Bailey visit with patients, families and hospital staff for annual team visit at Southern California’s largest pediatric hospital
As part of their longstanding relationship with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), AEG’s LA Kings players Anze Kopitar, Drew Doughty, Jeff Carter, Jonathan Quick and team mascot Bailey visited patients on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at CHLA. During the team’s annual visit, players spent the afternoon with patients, families and hospital staff posing for pictures and playing games on various floors of Southern California’s largest pediatric hospital.
The Kings are currently working with CHLA to conduct blood drives outside of STAPLES Center prior to all of the team’s home games in January in celebration of National Blood Donor Month. In addition to hospital visits and blood drives, the Kings have donated more than $500,000 to CHLA’s Blood Donor Center. Following the completion of the team’s first $500,000 donation, the Kings pledged an additional $1 million over five years.
