AEG’s LA Galaxy strengthen longstanding relationship with Southern California’s largest pediatric hospital
As part of their longstanding relationship with Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), AEG’s LA Galaxy players spent last Tuesday with patients at CHLA. Galaxy players and mascot Cozmo, visited outpatients and their families in their rooms, the Family Resource Center and CHLA’s Sports Motion Lab. Galaxy players also delivered 50 donated tablets and 25 donated smartphones from Alcatel, the LA Galaxy’s Official Smartphone and Tablet partner.
Galaxy players Brian Rowe, Daniel Steres, Jose Villarreal, Jon Kempin, Emmanuel Boateng, Nathan Smith and LA Galaxy II players Justin Dhillon, Bennett Sneddon, Ethan Zubak and Miguel Aguilar were on hand at CHLA to meet with patients as a part of the visit.
Earlier this year, the LA Galaxy Foundation announced a new, five-year partnership with CHLA that will see $500,000 donated to the Sports Medicine Program in the Children’s Orthopaedic Center (COC) at CHLA. Along with the new partnership, LA Galaxy President Chris Klein will serve as a member of the Children’s Orthopaedic Center (COC) Council and the team, staff, and academy will continue to make regular trips to the hospital to visit patients as part of their longstanding relationship.
