“Picture Yourself Green”: Easy-To-Enter Photo Contest for Earth Day

For Earth Day this year, you’re invited to enter a new photo contest for the chance to win a $200 gift card if you are the Grand Prize winner! Commercial real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle is asking people across the world to submit photos of themselves being green in, on, or around commercial office, retail or industrial buildings – whether at work or at home. Finalists will appear on our Green Blog

Buildings are responsible for more than one-third of greenhouse gas emissions worldwide and up to three quarters of emissions in cities. The good news is that green buildings can reduce emissions, save money and even improve the health and well-being of occupants. To make this happen, everyone must do their part. Building owners and managers to the people who work and live in buildings, we need ALL of your participation to keep our Earth healthy, happy and green!

To raise awareness of small actions that can make a big difference for the planet, Jones Lang LaSalle is asking all of our Green Blog readers and sustainability friends to submit photos of themselves doing things to save energy and improve sustainability in the workplace. We’ll run the Top 10 photo submissions on the Jones Lang LaSalle Green Blog the week after Earth Day next to a poll that asks readers to vote for their favorites. If your photo gets the most votes, you win the grand prize!

Instructions

1. Submit photos to GreenBlog@am.jll.com.
2. Include a photo caption of 10 words or less.
3. Include your first name, city and country for inclusion with photos – last name and company name are optional.
4. Files submitted must be JPG, TIF, or PNG.
5. Deadline to submit is Friday, April 20^th, 2012.
