Fifth Third Employees in Northern Ohio Activate To Feed Their Communities on Fifth Third Day
Fifth Third Bank employees in northern Ohio marked the occasion of Fifth Third Day by deploying into their communities to provide meals for the hungry. Fifth Third Day is celebrated by the Bank each year on May 3, or 5/3 on the calendar. Fifth Third’s goal is to provide 10 million meals across its retail footprint throughout the month.
In Northern Ohio, employees worked at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank on May 2 at its Stark campus in Canton to unload food donations from Stark County area schools. On May 3, Fifth Third volunteers worked at the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank at its main campus in Akron to sort, inspect and repackage food donations. Employees also visited the Greater Cleveland Foodbank to pack food kits, and Connecting Kids to Meals in Toledo to pack plates, utensils, condiments, snacks and other items to supply healthy meals to local children.
