Chargers Running Back Melvin Gordon and Rally Health Team Up with AEG to Host a "Holiday Bike Build" for Youth from the Boys & Girls Club of Carson at StubHub Center
Rally Health and Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon teamed up with AEG to host a "Holiday Bike Build" at AEG’s StubHub Center on Dec. 5 for 150 kids from the Boys & Girls Club of Carson.
Gordon, who is a Health Ambassador for Rally Health, participated with the kids in the after-school event designed to inspire the kids to adopt healthy habits and focus on their education. Among the event's many activities, the kids were joined by Gordon and pro-riders from Rally CyclingSM in building and decorating brand new Diamondback bikes that they got to take home following a ride around the StubHub Center concourse and hot meal provided by AEG and StubHub Center.
Also onsite to assist with the event, was AEG’s Amgen Tour of California staff, including Kristin Klein, Amgen Tour of California president and executive vice president of AEG Sports.
“It’s great to see athletes from previous Amgen Tour of California teams (Rally CyclingSM) and Melvin Gordon work directly with youth to promote healthy lifestyles and grow the sport of cycling for both girls and boys,” said Klein.
In addition to serving as the interim home of the Los Angeles Chargers, the 125-acre StubHub Center complex also serves as the home of the VELO Sports Center, an Official U.S. Olympic Training Site and a home track to USA Cycling's national track cycling program.
