Business Conduct and Ethics
As the largest cruise company and one of the largest vacation companies in the world, we recognize our responsibility to provide industry leadership and to conduct our business as a responsible global citizen. Our company requires that every employee and member of the Boards of Directors use sound judgment, maintain high ethical standards and demonstrate honesty in all business dealings.
Carnival established an ethics and compliance program to promote the company’s commitment to achieve and maintain a high standard of professional and ethical conduct. We have allocated significant resources to the ethics program and will continue to strive for excellence in this regard. Our commitments and expectations are documented in the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and Business Partner Code of Conduct, and these documents may be viewed within this campaign.
Carnival also plays an active role in in collaborative efforts to improve ethical business conduct around the world. For example, Carnival is a charter member of the Maritime Anticorruption Network (MACN) which is comprised of over thirty maritime companies that have joined forces to combat corruption affecting the maritime industry. MACN members share best practices, collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and mitigate the root causes of corruption and attempt to raise awareness of corruption-related challenges. More information is available on the MACN website.
