Booz Allen Named a Best Place to Work for New Dads by Fatherly

Booz Allen Hamilton has been recognized as one of the 50 Best Places to Work for New Dads by Fatherly, the leading digital media brand for dads. The firm is one of just 50 companies included on the annual report that highlights the best paternity benefits offered by companies in the United States.

Among the benefits offered to Booz Allen parents are full pay for employees on parental and adoption/surrogacy leave. One hundred percent of the firm’s male and female employees who welcome a new child take advantage of the firm’s parental leave policies. Booz Allen also offers flextime to employees who require flexibility to balance work commitments with personal obligations. The Booz Allen Hamilton Family Center provides childcare as well as full- and part-time early education and preschool for infants and young children.

To determine the “Best Places to Work” list, Fatherly worked with the National Partnership for Women & Families and The Families and Work Institute to evaluate policies and programs extended to new parents. Additionally, and as a departure from years past, Fatherly’s methodology weighed not only the total amount of paid leave offered for new parents but also recognized exceptional programs that both directly, and indirectly, benefit fatherhood. Such programs include adoption expense support, onsite childcare, a child care subsidy, the number of paid sick days offered to take care of family members, bereavement leave, elder care planning, and education funding. To be eligible for Fatherly’s list, companies must employ a minimum of 1,000 employees.
