Arrow Electronics Applauds Collegiate Inventors Competition Winners

rrow Electronics congratulated Matthew Rooda and Abraham Espinoza with the University of Iowa spin-out company SwineTech for winning the top undergraduate award last month at the 2017 Collegiate Inventors Competition. The SwineTech team also walked away with the first-ever Arrow Innovation Prize at the annual competition, which advanced the pair of young innovators to the final round of judging with all expenses paid.

The organization’s new app, Spot On, a birth control and period-tracker enables women to track their menstrual cycles, manage their birth control and learn more about their bodies. General Motors was named one of America’s Most JUST Companies by Forbes and JUST Capital, a nonprofit that analyzes and ranks companies based on the priorities of the American people. GM is the only automaker on the list.

More Consumers are Punishing Companies for Their Behavior Rather Than Rewarding Them

For the first time since 2009, more consumers say they have punished companies for their behavior (28%) rather than rewarded them (26%), and the number of those who are punishing brands is up by 9% since 2013.
