Cox Communications and The Trust for Public Land today named Marilyn Hanson as Arizona’s 2015 Cox Conserves Hero. Hanson’s nonprofit of choice, Southern Arizona Buffelgrass Coordination Center, will receive $10,000 on her behalf. The three finalists were chosen by a judging panel and then competed in an online public vote to be named Arizona’s Cox Conserves Hero.
Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s leading nonprofit which envisions a country where every community is a clean, green and beautiful place to live, has selected 10 high school students from across the country to serve on its fourth national Youth Advisory Council, which is sponsored through the generous support of the Wrigley Company Foundation.
The Environmental Media Association has announced the nominees for its 25th annual Environmental Media Awards, and each of the three series nominated in the Television Comedy category was produced by a 21st Century Fox business. 'The Simpsons' and 'Bob's Burgers,' two of FOX's animated series were nominated, as well as the sitcom 'Cristela,' which is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television. The Environmental Media Awards honor film and television productions that increase public awareness of environmental issues and inspire environmental responsibility.
