When Being Green Can Cost You Your Home
Conservationism and Homeownership Collide as New England Homeowner Fights to Keep Home From Toppling Into Ocean

It was love at first site for Jessica Bosari and her husband the first time they laid eyes on the sweeping views across Cape Cod Bay. They purchased an ocean view home that sat atop the 200 foot high coastal bluffs of Plymouth, Massachusetts knowing they would eventually have to install a seawall to protect their home from the relentless erosion of Cape Cod Bay. They were willing to do almost anything to save this home and the view they so adored. They just never realized how difficult or costly the fight to save their home from the jaws of the Atlantic would be.
The Bosari's story, told here at Greenspiration Home, raises an interesting environmental question: What is worse -- a hard structure seawall structure that ultimately damages the coastline or a home that tumbles into the ocean?
