Providing Access to Clean, Safe Water in Tanzania
Working with a Maasai community to design and construct a gravity pipeline, related storage, and public tapstands
Providing Access to Clean, Safe Water in Tanzania
Tetra Tech partnered with Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA), to assist a Maasai community in Tanzania to gain access to clean, safe water. Our employees volunteered their time and engineering skills to support the design and implementation of a 5.6-kilometer gravity pipeline, one pressure-reducing tank, two storage tanks, washout and air valves, and six public tapstands.
Tetra Tech supported the project through grant funding and through our 2014 Charity of the Year employee giving campaign. This video provides an update on how the funding used in the community.
Tetra Tech has a long history of working with EWB-USA and EWB Canada to help communities through lasting, scalable projects and technologies.
