Local Recycling Stories Wanted! Join the Social Recycling Challenge
Local Recycling Stories Wanted by Joe Laur
Greenopolis, a subsidiary of Waste Management the largest recycler in North America, promotes social recycling to encourage higher levels of recycling through on-the-street interactive recycling kiosks, consumer engagement online at www.greenopolis.com and through the new social game on Facebook, Oceanopolis.
As part of Greenopolis’ online site refresh for 2011, we are looking to “localize” some of our features- which means featuring stories and news from where our site visitors, Scan@School and kiosk users live, work, learn and play. We are looking for correspondents and stories from all over North America. News, articles and tips on recycling, reuse, and waste into resources will be featured on our site with attribution and linkage back to your local community and paper. Video feeds for Greenopolis TV are also being sought.
Attached is information about our brand specific, location based, social recycling programs, which have both online and on street components. While much of our content is online, some of it will be featured in kiosks in locales around the country.
