(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) October 17, 2011 - During the Congress, our CEO indicated that Mexico has the right conditions to take advantage of the world’s economic situation, which represents an opportunity to foster our growth: “the country has the advantage of having a strong macroeconomic foundation, but at the same time it requires institutional strength, more government entities, better corporate governance within corporations, greater competition, as well as more and better education”, he stated.
He continued pointing out the importance of giving people the necessary tools to achieve their potential because “human capital is and will be a strategic factor in the success of any business.” That is how Dr. Valenzuela made reference to the five basic aspects of the human capital in the Group: The first one being talent management, talking about the importance of identifying, attracting, retaining and especially, developing talent; about the second and third basic aspects he stressed the importance of developing leadership and offering development plans to its associates; as the fourth, he pointed out the strategic planning of human capital; and finally, the strengthening of the organizational culture based on a high sense of social responsibility, as well as a sense of belonging by the associates toward the organization. At Banorte, we are convinced that social responsibility potentiates each of the basic aspects mentioned, by attracting and retaining individuals who are looking to work in socially responsible companies; by developing leaders with a long term and sustainable vision; by strengthening the pride of belonging to an organization that strives for the balanced development of economic, social and environmental aspects inherent to the operation.
