Fifth Third's Marsha Thornton, Supplier Diversity Experts Share Critical Lessons

Fifth Third Bank’s Director of Supplier Diversity Marsha Thornton was recently featured in Women’s Enterprise USA (WE USA), the United States' foremost quarterly print and digital publication supporting Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs). In the article, Marsha, along with other supplier diversity experts from the banking and finance industry, shared their innovative ideas that have helped their businesses excel. She also shared critical lessons that she’s learned in her career, challenges and successes in the supplier diversity industry and how the Bank has pivoted to continue helping small businesses during the coronavirus pandemic. Marsha and Stephanie Smith, Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer, were also recently featured as speakers for the Women’s Business Enterprise Council’s Ohio River Valley’s Lexington lunch forum. They shared wisdom with women-owned small business leaders about what they need to do to improve their service offerings and how to gain business with companies.
