Dr Pepper Snapple Group Renews Green Partnership With Student Conservation Association
DPS Serves as Presenting Sponsor for SCA Earth Day Events in 12 Communities Nationwide
(3BL Media) Washington, D.C. - April 16, 2012 - Dr Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE: DPS) and Student Conservation Association (SCA), the national leader in youth service and stewardship, are continuing their relationship to protect America’s natural resources and build a new generation of conservation leaders. The company is kicking off the second year of its involvement with SCA by participating as a Presenting Sponsor for the group’s 2012 Earth Day program to be held in communities nationwide.
Leadership from SCA and DPS say continuing their partnership was an easy decision given their common goals and first-year accomplishments. In 2011, DPS’s support enabled SCA members in all 50 states to conduct projects in water conservation, native planting, waste reduction and recycling, and engage and educate more than 1.5 million Americans in sustainable behaviors. SCA indicates that through DPS’s extended commitment, more than 4,000 young adults will protect America’s public lands while gaining meaningful work experience.

Entering a new chapter of the partnership, DPS is serving as Presenting Sponsor for SCA’s 2012 Earth Day festivities. From April 14 through April 22, community members in nine cities from Seattle to Washington, DC, are getting back to nature, doing everything from planting trees to cleaning up parks. DPS employees themselves are putting on their gloves and working alongside SCA and student volunteers at local events to help conserve the great outdoors.
