Earth Day-Inspired STEM Lessons
Domtar's Plymouth, NC mill created a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) outreach program in 2013 to give area students a peek into how STEM studies can be applied in real life. In recognition of Earth Day 2017, mill employees - including scientist, engineers and innovators - offered a tour of the mill and visited area schools to share information about Domtar's commitment to responsible sourcing, efficient manufacturing and a program that diverts over 190 tons of waste from landfill per day.
