Strengthening Communities

Walmart’s 2 million associates live and work in more than 10,000 communities in more than 2 dozen countries around the world. Every day, our associates serve – more than 265 million customers, friends and neighbors-- in these communities. In addition, in 2019, Walmart stores, clubs and distribution centers in the U.S. gave more than $65 million in local grants, provided over 1.5 million free health screenings and donated more than 585 million pounds of food. Walmart is also committed to helping communities in times of disaster. Since 2016, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation gave more than $58 million in cash and in- kind donations to support disaster preparedness and relief efforts.
