Local ethnocentric newspapers are one of the major players in developing Canadian culture as being one of the most multicultural countries in the world. These newspapers unite the people of a specific culture in Canada and allow them to read about the news in their community.

De Nederlandse COURANT is one of the oldest Dutch-Canadian Bi-weekly newspapers. With a reach to about 20,000 per issue, it brings the Dutch community together within Canada.
