Booster™ Gains New CTO, Tech Veteran Andrew Hamel
Seattle-based technology leader Andrew Hamel has joined Booster™ — the leading mobile energy delivery company — as the company’s first Chief Technology Officer, reports GeekWire's Taylor Soper in this week's Tech Moves column. In this role, Hamel will lead the tech-driven company’s product development and data services.
Prior to joining the team at Booster, Hamel worked at Amazon for 11 years in various vice president roles, most recently as vice president of customer experience technology and machine learning.
Hamel joins Booster amid rapid growth as the California-based startup company works to fuel mobility from coast to coast. Serving mostly fleets, Booster’s mobile energy-on-demand service eliminates the gas station errand. The company delivers fuel directly from the terminal to vehicles wherever they are parked, eliminating the added time, money and emissions spent if each vehicle were to travel to the gas station for fuel.
Driven by data and technology, Booster’s services are technologically optimized at every turn, from the company’s proprietary Smart Tanker fuel delivery vehicles to their industry leading routing software and their data dashboards, which provide key fuel efficiency and emissions insights to customers.
“Booster’s data-driven energy network helps fleets win with technology at our core, and there’s no better leader to accelerate this vision than Andrew,” said Booster CEO Frank Mycroft to GeekWire.
