(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) July 7, 2011 - In order to offer more than financial resources to its beneficiaries and contribute to the accountability and professionalization of its associates, to the promotion of social investment, as well as to the development of replicable social projects, the Banorte Foundation, “Save the Children” Mexico, and the ADO Foundation promote and fund this program, with a vision toward the future.
“Social Impact: Assessment of Social Projects” was opened today at the Banorte Training Center by the Director of the Banorte Foundation, Mr. Carlos Madrid; Banorte Human Resources Managing Director, María Luisa González; and the National Director of “Save the Children” Mexico, María Josefina Menéndez. The program was given by the expert in Latin America, Víctor Manuel Quintero, MD and PhD in Economics, from the University of Central Missouri, advisor to the United Nations Development Program (PNUD), and author of several books on social projects, the market, and micro-enterprises. This Alliance of the Banorte Foundation, “Save the Children” Mexico, and the ADO Foundation was a response to the concern of how to exploit skills and promote the efficient performance of philanthropic organizations, favoring the social development of vulnerable populations and communities; as well as communicating to companies, governments, and citizens that contribute to the social sector, the type of transformations and return on social investment that can be achieved. In this way, Banorte contributes to the growth and positioning of Mexico’s philanthropic sector; to the professional development of NGOs, their causes, and those who work in them; as well as to the creation of projects that can have an effective impact in the solution of social problems.
