Arby’s Raises Record $4.3 Million to Help End Childhood Hunger in America
ATLANTA, November 09, 2016 /3BL Media/ – Arby’s® restaurants across the country raised more than $4.3 million to end childhood hunger in America, surpassing last year’s record-breaking $3.7 million. This fall, participating Arby’s restaurants teamed with guests to collect donations for the Arby’s Foundation, in support of its mission to end childhood hunger in America in partnership with No Kid Hungry.
“Childhood hunger is a pervasive, yet solvable issue in the United States,” said Paul Brown, CEO, Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc. “More than 16 million children in America struggle with hunger. Despite this, we remain optimistic that we can make a difference thanks to the support we’ve received from our guests, franchisees and team members. I am very proud of the work that the Arby’s Foundation is doing to both elevate awareness and work toward a solution for this crucial issue.”
2016 marks the fifth year of the Arby’s Foundation’s partnership with No Kid Hungry. In that time the Foundation has become the single largest supporter of No Kid Hungry’s grant program. Additionally, the Arby’s Foundation is a founding sponsor of the No Kid Hungry Center for Best Practices, a center dedicated to crafting the best research, analysis and strategies around the fight to end childhood hunger
“We believe that providing access to food choices is the first step in empowering children to achieve their best,” said Christopher Fuller, executive director of the Arby’s Foundation. “The Arby’s Foundation is proud to work with the entire Arby’s system, No Kid Hungry and our guests to ensure that children have access to the meals that they need to learn and grow.”
The national fundraiser has generated nearly $20 million since 2011. Through these funds and its partnership with No Kid Hungry, the Arby’s Foundation continues to fight childhood hunger at both the national and local level.
