Xylem Watermark Recognizes Ambassadors' Leadership, Dedication
Last week, Xylem Watermark launched its first Ambassador Recognition Week to thank its program Ambassadors for their leadership and dedication. Watermark Ambassadors represent each business unit in the expansion and growth of Watermark related programs and outreach.
Ambassadors support site Champions through onboarding and training, communicating programmatic expansions, and brainstorming impactful new partnerships and programming in their communities. Ambassadors work side by side with Champions as they coordinate local volunteer activities, fundraisers and campaigns throughout the year.
From rolling out new signature events such as Plogging and the disaster response campaign, to adopting our new strategic focus of engaging Xylem stakeholders in Watermark, 2019 was a busy year for Watermark Ambassadors. Collectively, Watermark Ambassadors volunteered over 1,400 hours of their time to Watermark initiatives.
“They show true dedication to the mission of Watermark, and to the communities where they live and work. Their generous gift of time and effort impacts many lives, and we are grateful to have such passionate people working at Xylem,” said Jamie Saxe, Senior Director of Xylem Watermark and Corporate Social Investment.
About Xylem Watermark
Xylem Watermark, the company’s corporate citizenship program, was initiated in 2008, with a focus on protecting and providing safe water resources around the world and also educating people on water-related issues. The global initiative, which encompasses employee and stakeholder engagement, provides access to clean drinking water and sanitation, and humanitarian emergency response to help communities become more water-secure and sustainable through WASH and Value of Water Education programs. Last year, the program exceeded its three-year goal to log 100,000 employee volunteer hours and engaged ~45 percent of the company’s global employee base.
