The Worth of Water
by Jim Murray
It’s said we never know the worth of water until the well is dry.
Here in Michigan, we know the truth of that statement. At AT&T, we’ve been enormously concerned about our customers, employees and neighbors as the water crisis in Flint has developed.
Like so many, colleagues within AT&T — not only in Michigan but across the country — have asked, “What can we do to help?”
Today, I’m excited to announce the next step.
AT&T is launching a text-to-give campaign to benefit Flint’s kids. The mobile giving campaign makes it easy for any wireless customer around the world to support the relief efforts in Flint. Donations collected during the giving campaign will support the Community Foundation of Greater Flint’s Flint Child Health and Development Fund.
Wireless customers who wish to provide support can text-to-donate to this relief effort in 2 easy steps.
First, simply text “Flint” to 27722 to make a $10 donation to the Flint Child Health and Development Fund. Second, when prompted, reply to confirm the donation. Donations sent via text-to-donate are added to a customer’s monthly wireless bill.
It is our company’s privilege to help strengthen the communities we serve each and every day and we are proud to provide this new campaign.
