World Environment Center Launches Next Tier Membership Program
September 29, 2021 /3BL Media/ - The World Environment Center (WEC) has launched a new membership program, “Next Tier,” to join alongside their Global Membership program.
This Next Tier program was developed for companies that face growing demands from customers, shareholders, and investors to reduce their environmental footprint and improve social performance – expectations that will continue to mount as global brands increase their sales of sustainably manufactured products, governments enforce environmental regulations, and investors use sustainability criteria to select whom they will fund in the future.
To support these companies in a practical course of action, the Next Tier program will serve its members through: Online networking tool for members to meet and share experiences with each other and with WEC’s global members; Online toolbox with carefully curated up-to-date resources for the top sustainability challenges; Mentorship program with some of the most experienced sustainability leaders in Europe, Mexico, and the U.S.; Roundtables under the Chatham House Rule, which are adapted to the Next Tier members needs and come in addition to longstanding Executive Roundtables for Global companies.
“As more companies face demands from investors, customers, and regulators to improve their sustainability performance, WEC is uniquely positioned to help this next tier of leaders. For over 40 years, we have helped leading global companies advance sustainable development through their business practices. We are thrilled to share the experience of our global members with companies who are just starting their sustainability journey.” Glenn Prickett, WEC’s President & CEO
WEC’s original Global Membership program, serves global companies who face global environmental/social risks and want to learn from the most advanced companies and industry sectors in order to strengthen their strategies and respond to stakeholder demands, and business opportunities. WEC Global Membership consists of over 20 global companies.
