World CSR Congress Honors PYXERA Global’s Vice President of Public Affairs, Laura Asiala, with Corporate Affairs Leadership Award
MUMBAI, India, February 19, 2015 /3BL Media/ — Laura Asiala, Vice President of Public Affairs at PYXERA Global, was awarded a Corporate Affairs Leadership Award for her work in corporate social responsibility by the World CSR Congress. During the World CSR Congress, corporate social responsibility professionals from more than 130 countries came together under one roof in Mumbai, India to unite leaders in the field, discuss best practices, and celebrate a shared dedication to build a better society through sustainable business initiatives.
After accepting the award from the World CSR Congress Board, Ms. Asiala shared how private sector involvement in immersive global pro bono programs—which place highly skilled, experienced professionals in underserved markets as a means to drive entrepreneurship and impact in the local community—provides important insights and on-the-ground effort to create a more sustainable, solutions-driven society.
Ms. Asiala provided the audience with real-world lessons PYXERA Global has gained while designing and implementing various programs over the past 25 years in which the private sector lends their experience and expertise in order to create shared value across private, public, and social sector partnerships around the world.
