Wells Fargo Employees Create an Office Garden in Miami

Climate change can seem like an impossible challenge. However, there are many simple, sustainable solutions that can make a huge difference. Something as easy and fun as planting a garden is a great way to start helping the environment and your health and is an inexpensive way to acquire produce that would otherwise be purchased at the store. In addition, fresh fruits and vegetables are rich in nutrients that our bodies need. Eating plenty of fruits and vegetables is a key part of a healthy lifestyle. So, planting a garden not only helps the environment, but it can also save you a trip to the supermarket or doctor’s office.

In Miami, Wells Fargo Green Team members took this advice to heart and planted a vegetable garden in order to encourage healthier and “greener” lifestyles. With a little bit of fertilizer, soil, and hard work, the team cultivated a fruitful vegetable garden at the Miami Operations Center. The garden produces a wide variety of herbs and vegetables such as tomatoes, bell peppers, mint, basil, spinach, oregano, parsley, and lettuce. Now the Center enjoys lunches together that consist of delicious caprese sandwiches, and the best Greek salads you ever tasted.
