Weatherford's Commitment to Protecting the Environment

At Weatherford, we are committed to excellence. Excellence in the quality of our work, in the safety of our employees, and in our efforts to protect the environment. In line with this mission, we observe the United Nations World Environment Day on June 5. 

Our employees, like our customers, are passionate about technology and the environment and constantly look for ways to innovate. For example, one employee in particular saw an opportunity to improve the design of our jet pumps to make them more environmentally friendly by adding in a leak detection skid. In 2016, following the successful response to the updated jet pump skids, we embarked on an ambitious project to identify products which earn the label "eco-friendly." We are performing extensive reviews of our product and services against rigorously developed "eco-friendly" criteria, and are looking forward to releasing our labeled products in 2017.

In addition, each year we recognize our employees through our Environmental Entrepreneur Awards program for implementing environmental improvements that make a positive financial impact, are innovative, and encourage their peers to be more engaged in environmental protection.
