Watch Live: Intl Business Leaders Forum to take part in ‘Humanitarian Partnerships’ discussion

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) June 20, 2011 - To launch the 50th edition of Humanitarian Exchange – the quarterly magazine of the Humanitarian Practice Network (HPN) – the ODI will host this event which looks at how humanitarian organisations can best work together to achieve optimal outcomes, and how viable partnerships be established in response to large-scale crises like the Haiti earthquake or the floods in Pakistan.

The event will be chaired by Wendy Fenton of the HPN. Other speakers include Christine Knudson, UNICEF; Rachel Houghton, Communicating with Disaster Affected Communities Network and Mike Wisehart, World Vision International.

In February 2011, IBLF's The Partnering Initiative (TPI) programme, together with The Humanitarian Futures Programme (HFP), ran an event on ‘Scaling up the role of business in the humanitarian sector’. The outcomes of this event are currently feeding into a new programme on the role of business in the humanitarian sector, led by TPI and the HFP.
