Walk, Run or Cab...Just Don't Drive

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Vancouver, BC - Oct 28, 2011 - Halloween celebrations will be happening this weekend and Molson Coors Canada reminds consumers to make responsible choices. This year marks the fourth year that, in addition to a month-long comprehensive responsible drinking awareness campaign, sees $5 TAXIGUY vouchers distributed at key BC Liquor Store locations.

On Saturday, October 30, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Molson Coors Canada employees, dressed as Halloween Super-Heroes, will be at seven BC Liquor Store locations, handing out $5 TAXIGUY vouchers to customers as a friendly reminder to plan a safe ride home after Halloween celebrations. The team will collectively distribute $10,000 in vouchers to help people get home safely.
“The Halloween spirit is all about fun and Molson Coors Canada is proud to play our part by giving out TAXIGUY vouchers to encourage consumers to make the responsible choice to get home safely.” said Lynda Perovich, District Sales Manager, Molson Coors Canada. “In 2010, 60% of the vouchers we distributed were redeemed, an increase of 7% over 2009, we hope to see that number grow even higher this year.”   The $5 Taxi Vouchers are part of Molson Coors Canada’s partnership with 1-888-TAXIGUY, a nationwide network of 425 taxicab companies that are linked together through a toll-free phone number. Molson Coors Canada is a founding partner of TAXIGUY, which has facilitated over 3 millions safe rides home since 1998. This year TAXIGUY and Molson Coors Canada also launched a mobile phone app that is free and available for download at www.TAXIGUYDialer.com. The app allows users to connect to a cab in the TAXIGUY network at the touch of a button.
