VolunteerMatch Releases Fully Responsive Version of Its Website: It's Now Even Easier to Make a Difference

August 19, 2014 /3BL Media/ - VolunteerMatch, the Web's largest volunteer engagement network, announced today it has released a fully responsive version of its popular website, VolunteerMatch.org. Now individuals accessing the site via their mobile phones will find it even easier to connect to volunteer opportunities.
Having launched in 1998, transitioning VolunteerMatch.org to a responsive design was not a simple task. Most similar websites that provide such complicated functionality, such as e-commerce sites, are not yet fully responsive.
To work toward its vision of a world where everyone – individuals, nonprofits, and companies – has a chance to make a difference, VolunteerMatch considered the switch to responsive design to be a key ingredient for increasing impact.
"Volunteering, and discovering ways to volunteer, should fit right into our everyday lives," said Greg Baldwin, president of VolunteerMatch. "We're thrilled to announce that now, instead of having to search the app store and download, people can have the perfect VolunteerMatch experience immediately, no matter what phone or system you use."
As mobile devices become a larger portion of how people access the internet, the transition to responsive design not only dramatically improves these mobile users' experiences with VolunteerMatch, but also paves the way for the organization to develop all-new mobile-focused functionality in the future that will continue to move the world of volunteering forward.
VolunteerMatch extends special thanks to Innovation Sponsor and client UnitedHealth Group, a diversified health and well-being company based in Minnetonka, Minn., who supported the development.
