Vigilant Global Joins GOAL Lion's Cup Charity Soccer Tournament
This Sunday, August 18, Vigilant Global employees will take to the soccer pitch at the Lachine soccer-plex in support of Goal Lion’s Cup Soccer Tournament organized by the Pub Burgundy Lion – one of Montreal’s favourite watering holes.
Each year, soccer aficionados and local Montreal celebs create teams and play a friendly soccer tourney in support of a local charity. This year’s organization of choice is the Tyndale St-George community center – a center serving families in the downtown area and practically in Vigilant’s backyard.
Teams raise funds to cover their entry fee ahead of the tourney with all proceeds going to that year’s community organization. Vigilant donated the entry fee for its homegrown all-star dream team.
Tyndale St-George is located in the low-income community of Little Burgundy and offers a range of programs and services for people of all ages.
‘GOAL’ Lion’s Cup Soccer Tournament is a non-profit fundraising tournament that donates 100% of proceeds to a decided upon Montreal charitable institution. ‘GOAL’ relies on the support, donations and participation of generous involved community members looking to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Since its inception, it has raised $78, 000 for charities in the Montreal community.
