VIDEO | Papyrus-Recycled Greetings is Powering Her Potential Through Whole Planet Foundation
$100,000 Fund Member Surpasses Half a Million Dollars in Donations
Whole Planet Foundation is proud to share that Papyrus-Recycled Greetings, the founding member of the $100,000 Fund, has donated a total of $500,000 to fund 5,800 microloans and create 29,000 opportunities for microentrepreneurs and their family members to pull themselves out of poverty.
The deep commitment of Papyrus-Recycled Greetings to Whole Planet Foundation’s mission of global poverty alleviation has inspired their team to join domestic and international impact trips to witness microcredit in action. Microloans are small loans – the current average first loan size supported by Whole Planet Foundation is $182 – with no formal collateral or contract, provided to microentrepreneurs to create or grow a home-based business for the opportunity to pull themselves and their families out of poverty.
Watch the video featuring Stefanie McDonald to understand how a trip to Guatemala to meet microcredit clients has inspired her. Between Stefanie and colleague David Sugerik, these two have gained an understanding of why poverty exists and a solution for it through experience visits in Guatemala in Central America, Paraguay in South America, Togo in Africa, and also in Austin, Texas, Boston, Massachusetts, Los Angeles, California and Queens, New York. In turn each year Papyrus-Recycled Greetings continues to participate in Whole Planet Foundation's top supplier giving level. Whole Planet Foundation’s global impact has reached the world’s poorest people – mostly women – in the United States and 70 other countries thanks to supplier donors - like Papyrus-Recycled Greetings - who have contributed more than $10 million for poverty alleviation.
During March, Papyrus-Recycled Greetings’ generosity is being spotlighted in Whole Planet Foundation’s Annual Prosperity Campaign, taking place in Whole Foods Market stores and online. Please join Papyrus-Recycled Greetings in alleviating poverty and make your donation today to power the potential of more women entrepreneurs.
