BENTON HARBOR — Greg Fulmer wishes he could remind his younger self that school was let out for a reason on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
That’s why he, along with dozens of other Whirlpool Corp. employees, spent their Monday volunteering at schools, local shelters and other Southwest Michigan organizations.
“It’s a nice way to give back, especially for today,” Fulmer said in reference to the nationally recognized holiday. “It’s a good thing to do on this holiday. Growing up we had this day off and a good use of this could have been toward doing some service.”
