Undergraduates Rank the American Cancer Society in the Top 50 Most Ideal Employers
(3BL Media) June 7, 2012 - Recently, the employer branding firm, Universum, released the results of their survey of nearly 60,000 undergraduate students designed to reveal the most attractive employers among U.S. undergraduates.
The American Cancer Society has been named one of the Top 50 Most Ideal Employers – for the third year in a row. This year the Society was ranked at 39, up from our 2011 ranking of 48. And, the Society was ranked in the Top 10 for undergraduates in the field of humanities, liberal arts, and education.
What are these students basing their rankings on? According to the Bloomberg Businessweek article, Fifty Most Popular Employers for College Students , “Careerists are attracted to the employers they perceive as most prestigious. Entrepreneurs seek fast-growing employers with creative and dynamic work environments. Explorers want challenging work and a variety of assignments. Work-life balance is a priority for Harmonizers, while high salaries and future prospects matter most to Hunters. Idealists want employers with high ethical standards and a friendly work environment. Leaders are seeking opportunities to direct and manage teams.”
