TruGreen Helps to Distribute Free Trees to Communities in Need

In celebration of National Arbor Day, TruGreen once again teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation to support the Community Tree Recovery Program. Several TruGreen branches in the areas of Buffalo, Detroit, and Boulder helped homeowners by planting trees in areas affected by natural disasters. These new trees were free and will help to replace those lost to the emerald ash borer and hurricanes of 2017.

The events in each community were led by branch leaders and branch teams. According to Caleb Hall, TruGreen general manager in Littleton, CO, “The event was a great opportunity to work as a team to give back to the Boulder community. We were really proud to be able to serve as a sponsor and support the Arbor Day Foundation and the Boulder community in helping this area rebuild their tree populations devastated by the emerald ash borer.”

“It’s also another way we’re showing our commitment to improving the environment and helping others live life outdoors. Because we all know communities thrive when they have healthy lawns, landscapes, and treescapes.” added Hall.

Together, we planted more than 1,138 trees this past spring and will plant 150 trees this fall. These new trees helped grow urban canopies and created an immeasurable feeling of goodwill throughout the community. These new trees will help shade homes, clean the air, lower energy savings, and so much more.
