Treating the World with Care: General Mills Global Responsibility
At General Mills, we believe how we do business should reflect who we are, both as a company and as the people who work here. Our 2017 Global Responsibility Reportshares how we treat the world, its resources and its people with care. We're especially proud of the work we've done in climate change, water stewardship, pollinator habitat and food security. In this annual overview, you'll find stories worth knowing and stories worth sharing. Pass it on!

We invite you to watch this short video that captures highlights from the past year.
General Mills Chairman Ken Powell on Global Responsibility
For 150 years, General Mills has been making food people love while investing to make the world around us better. We believe that being successful in the marketplace and being a force for good go hand in hand.
We Mean Business When it Comes to Climate Change
Changes in climate not only affect global food security, but also impact General Mills' raw material supply. When Mother Nature performs well, our soil is nutrient rich and able to hold more water, and is more resilient to climate change. We are committed to protecting the natural resources upon which our business depends by promoting environmentally and socially responsible practices across our value chain.
Multi-year, $4 million investment in pollinator habitat
General Mills, the Xerces Society, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced a major milestone in their partnership to restore and protect pollinator habitat across hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland in North America. The five-year commitment between General Mills and USDA's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) will support farmers across the U.S. by providing technical assistance to plant and protect pollinator habitat, such as native wildflower field edges and flowering hedgerows.
