Timberland Employees Make a Difference Around the World with Earth Day Service Projects
Employees of global outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland pulled on their boots to serve local communities worldwide during its 19th consecutive year of celebrating Earth Day. From April – June employees joined business partners, community members, consumers, and friends at one-day service projects to benefit the Earth. In total, more than 1,400 volunteers from 20 different countries spent over 11,000 hours serving nonprofit organizations.
“At Timberland we are Earthkeepers in all that we do,” said Atlanta McIlwraith, Timberland senior manager of community engagement and communication. “Earth Day provides us with an opportunity to serve our communities and forward our commitments to protect and preserve the outdoors. When Timberland employees serve together in a common aim to improve their local environments, it unifies us as individuals, a company, and as a brand around our shared desire to make our difference.”
