Texas Diversity Council Hosts 18th Annual DiversityFIRST™ Leadership Awards, Recognizing Top Leaders in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
SAN ANTONIO, September 13, 2022 /3BL Media/ - The Texas Diversity Council will host the 18th Annual Greater San Antonio DiversityFIRST™ Leadership Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at The Club at Sonterra. This year’s theme is “Leading with Purpose: The Impact of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion,” featuring Dr. Michael Eric Dyson, one of the nation’s most renowned professors, gifted writers, knowledgeable lecturers, and prominent media personalities. Ebony magazine cited Dr. Dyson as one of the 100 most influential African Americans and among the 150 most powerful Black people in the nation. The event will recognize and celebrate a distinctive list of local leaders and organizations who have impacted our communities through their advocacy and championing of DEI initiatives.
“We are pleased to recognize the best organizations and individuals working towards diversity, equity and inclusion in our beautiful city and beyond,” said Angeles Valenciano, CEO of the National Diversity Council. “They all exemplify an unyielding commitment to DEI through their organizations, community at the highest level.”
The event will kick off with two DEI Best Practice Sessions, followed by the presentation of awards and an inspiring keynote speech. The individual ticket cost is $199.00.
