How Mobile Clinics Will Secure Patient Data

Mobile clinics using telemedicine to deliver care to children face the same security challenges as those facing other healthcare delivery settings, says Jeb Weisman, CIO of the Children's Health Fund.
The non-profit provider of pediatric health services to the medically underserved recently launched a national initiative with the Verizon Foundation to deliver telehealth services via mobile clinics. The clinics are equipped with 4G broadband connectivity and upgraded telemedicine equipment.
The new program, which kicked off last week in Miami, will expand into other cities, including Dallas, Detroit, New York, Phoenix and San Francisco in coming the month.
