September 22, 2015 /3BL Media/ - TD Bank Group's Chief Environment Officer, Karen Clarke-Whistler, and TD economist Brian DePratto are among Canada's 2016 Clean50 Honourees. Clean50 recognizes "50 individuals or small teams who have done the most to advance the cause of sustainability and clean capitalism in Canada over the past two years."

Karen has also been named – for the second time – one of Canada's Clean16, identifying her as the leader in the Financial and Services sector. "The 2016 Clean16 are truly the leaders of the leaders in sustainability in Canada," said Gavin Pitchford, Chief Talent Officer of Delta Management Group. "The cumulative accomplishments of Canada’s Clean16 over the past two years add up to a very big number.  All Canadians should be grateful for the leadership these individuals have shown – and for the support that their organizations have provided." Other Clean16 winners include Premier Kathleen Wynne of Ontario and Premier Philippe Couillard of Quebec.

Brian is being recognized as an "Emerging Leader" for his work in producing key papers on natural capital and urban forestry. ”Delta Management Group has selected and named 10 absolutely outstanding younger Canadians as “Emerging Leaders,” noted Gavin Pitchford.  "In many ways the description is unfair – they are, quite simply, 'leaders,' who in every case have already accomplished a great deal".
