Candidate Profile:

This role is well-suited for a person who is passionate about the potential for community investment as a flagship of corporate activity. The ideal candidate will offer SiMPACT and the LBG Canada community a blend of skills in client service, business development, data-driven performance measurement and strong communication skills.  Previous experience in community investment, corporate social responsibility and sustainability is a definite asset, but is not a requirement to succeed in this role.

The ideal candidate will play an active role in content delivery, program delivery and growth of the LBG Canada community. Involvement is an opportunity to contribute to the long-term strategic direction of LBG Canada, to play a key role in the implementation of the annual program and to be hands-on in supporting LBG Canada companies as they meet their performance objectives. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director of LBG Canada.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client accounts in order to deepen and maintain relationships across LBG Canada companies in eastern Canada

  • Proactively seek to identify client needs, set priorities and ensure complete satisfaction as an LBG Canada participant

  • Conduct analysis of benchmarking data, identify and report key trends and how they relate to each client company

  • Provide individualized client coaching and counsel to LBG Canada community investment professionals (performance metrics, communications, policy development, other as needed)

  • Support business development (client recruitment), including attracting and reaching out to potential LBG Canada companies, understanding individual needs, presenting the value of LBG Canada involvement and onboarding new recruits

  • Provide content and key messaging in support of communications strategy

  • Work with clients to integrate tools and resources available through LBG Canada

  • Play a lead role in the production and presentation of the LBG Canada Annual General Meeting

      

Experience:

  • A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience within a client-focused environment

  • Knowledge of sales and relationship building processes, with an orientation towards developing long-term relationships

  • Highly organized individual, with strong analytical skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with comfort & ability presenting and explaining concepts to a variety of audiences

  • Identified as a self-starter with a view point that advances an entire team

  • Knowledge of corporate philanthropy, CSR, community investment measurement & benchmarking an asset

  • High level of technical competency, with working familiarity/openness to learn data analysis tools and techniques

  • Bilingualism an asset

  • Interest and ability to travel across Canada

  • Post-graduate degree, experience in the community investment and/or financial industry all considered an asset
