Science, Springtime and a Carnival... How could that not be fun?

The Philadelphia Science Carnival was last weekend in Center City Philadelphia. In addition to sunshine and a lovely breeze, the carnival showcased science and technology in everyday life. The carnival was part of the larger Philadelphia Science Festival which brings together 175 of the region’s most influential institutions, museums, and cultural centers. We hosted an interactive booth which encouraged kids (and adults) to match shapes of medicines with shapes of disease targets, learn about the chemicals that make a medicine, and then use 3D computer modeling software to visualize the medicine binding to its disease target in the body.
