ESG Forum 2014: Non-financial performance... A missed opportunity?
SAVE THE DATE!
Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR) is holding its third annual ES&G Forum to explore changing investor expectations that are causing organizations to expand their performance measures and assessments beyond previous standard economic drivers to include non-financial considerations - social, environmental and governance (ESG) performance.
Building on the last two years’ discussions, participants will hear how investors and businesses are implementing innovative methods to manage what is quickly becoming the new reality. They will also have an opportunity to explore with their peers what this means for them and their future business.
We are asking the invited Investor Relations speakers to respond to the question - Is the changing investor landscape compelling Investor Relations professionals to think about how their companies’ performance impacts their financial performance?
Their responses will provide valuable insight as to whether or not ESG is impacting how large businesses manage their investor relations. We will also have institutional investors/fund managers discuss why they are using ESG as a guideline and/or assessment framework when reviewing potential and current investments.
Purpose
Forum for 100 professionals to discuss and share new knowledge, thoughts, and suggestions exploring how businesses can leverage non-financial performance to complement financial performance.
We will showcase recent research, case studies, and investment practices that are relevant to the inter-linked topics of ES&G, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Sustainability.
Target Audience
Professionals working in all industries; including:
- Investors (institutional and retail) / Investor Relations professionals,
- CSR professionals,
- Communication professionals,
- Business Performance Rating Agencies, and
- industry stakeholders.
