HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. — Out of more than 470 nationwide entries, 10 teams won a chance to have an app developed with the help of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab and Verizon programmers. One of those teams is from Rock Canyon High School, in Highlands Ranch.
“Our students took up the challenge and came up with a plan for an app which will help people be able to donate directly to charities around the world,” said Christy Street, the school’s Tech Instructor. “These kids worked very hard as a team to take their idea from story board to concept.”
