Results of Annual Corporate Societal Investment Survey to be Released
Giving in Numbers Survey Measures Giving for 261 of the World’s Largest Companies
New York, NY, May 15, 2014 /3BL Media/ — The inaugural Giving in Numbers Brief, which tracks trends and strategies that align business and community needs, will be released on May 20, 2014 in front of an audience of the senior-most leaders at foundations and corporate affairs offices of multibillion dollar global companies. Insights are drawn from data submitted by 261 of the world’s largest companies to the Giving in Numbers Survey, conducted annually by CECP in association with The Conference Board. The Brief, represented through an infographic, will include insights on the funds, resources, and skills that companies invest globally to solve pressing societal challenges. The Giving in Numbers Survey has created a repository of more than $250 billion in corporate societal engagement data, collected since 2001.
Who: CECP, a coalition of 150 CEOs from the world’s largest companies united in the belief that societal improvement is an essential measure of business performance, in association with The Conference Board, a global, independent business membership and research association working in the public interest.
What: The release of the inaugural Giving in Numbers Brief, tracking 2013 data on corporate societal engagement in the areas of foundation and direct corporate cash contributions, product donations, pro bono service, employee volunteering, and more. Results will be illustrated in an infographic representing the changes in giving from 2010 to 2013.
Where: CECP will release the analysis of the data at the CECP Summit, a gathering of 250 senior giving officers at CECP-affiliated companies.
