Republic Services and Habitat for Humanity of Denver Dedicate Affordable Homes to Local Families
Company invests $250,000 and more than 75 employee volunteers to help make affordable homeownership possible for local families
DENVER, March 1, 2018 /3BL Media/ – Republic Services partnered with Habitat for Humanity last year to help build and revitalize neighborhoods in communities across the country, one of those communities being Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver’s Sheridan Square. The local partnership includes a powerful combination of volunteer hours and financial support to help build a total of 16 new homes and to develop a community park.
A dedication ceremony was held on Wednesday, February 28th for 10 homes sponsored by Republic (six homes are still under construction). This community event marked the culmination of months of hard work by volunteers, community leaders and elected officials and the future homeowners and their families, who have invested more than 200 hours of sweat equity to help build the homes.
Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization that seeks to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable housing.
