April 30, 2019 /3BL Media/ — They say the best conferences serve up doughnuts – Doughnut Economics, that is!

Reporting 3.0 is excited to announce the Keynote Speakers and Full Program for the 6th International Reporting 3.0 Conference, headlined by:

  • Doughnut Economics Author Kate Raworth
  • International Integrated Reporting Council CEO Richard Howitt
  • UN Global Compact CEO Lise Kingo
  • Natural Capital Coalition Executive Director Mark Gough
  • Capital Institute Regenerative Communities Network Community Catalyzer Joe Brewer
  • International Bateson Institute President Nora Bateson
  • Designing Regenerative Cultures Author Daniel Christian Wahl and
  • Eosta CEO Volkert Engelsman

“If we are to create 21st century economies and businesses that can meet the needs of all within the means of the planet, then Reporting 3.0’s Global Thresholds & Allocations Council is just the kind of initiative that can start making it happen,” says Kate Raworth. “I look forward to exploring and presenting the synergies between Doughnut Economics and Reporting 3.0 in order to promote business for a thriving future.”

“Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030 may be a tall challenge, but it is one that we must achieve for our own sake and for future generations. Corporate reporting on the SDGs not only drives better performance and value creation, but also helps attract investment in areas where it’s most needed,” says Lise Kingo. “I’m looking forward to speaking at the Reporting 3.0 Conference to share our work on engaging the corporate sector in driving sustainable development.”

Reporting 3.0 has released the Full Program for the Conference, convening 17/18 June 2019 in the ultra-modern Erasmus Pavilion at Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The Conference tagline – Implementing Thriveable Transformation – underlines the focus on hands-on examples of pilots, projects, and initiatives with the level of ambition Reporting 3.0 advocates for triggering necessary systems change. Reporting 3.0 calls this system value creation, or the kind of broad prosperity created with the emergence of a regenerative and distributive economy that operates within the “safe and just space” between ecological ceilings and social foundations.

Most of the examples are drawn from participants of the Transformation Journey Program, a multi-workshop series Reporting 3.0 has run over the past half year in Amsterdam (hosted by ING), Boston (hosted by John Hancock / Manulife), and Rotterdam (hosted by Erasmus University).  The Transformation Journey Program is based around a mountain climbing metaphor, and the Conference follows suit, with four climbing-themed tracks: The Village (Keynotes), The Journey (Projects related to the Transformation Journey Program), The Sherpas (Partner Projects), and Camp Fires (Thematic Initiatives).

Additional Speakers include:

  • Lois Guthrie of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)
  • Tjeerd Krumpelman of ABN AMRO
  • Michal Shinwell of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
  • Kris Douma of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI)
  • Kaitlin Crouch and Lauren Muuse of ING
  • Kevin Doyle Jones of SOCAP and GatherLabs
  • Laura Palmeiro of the UN Global Compact
