Recyclebank Names Anurag Jain Chief Technology Officer

NEW YORK CITY, October 9, 2013 /3BL Media/— Recyclebank®, the company that rewards people for taking everyday green actions with discounts and deals, announced that Anurag Jain has been newly appointed as chief technology officer, effective immediately. In this role, Jain is responsible for leading and mentoring all technology operations, including software development, quality assurance and technical operations. Jain is based in New York City and reports directly to Recyclebank Chief Operating Officer David Eisendrath.

Jain joins Recyclebank is the wake of recent business momentum for the company, which includes several new community partnerships and multi-year contract renewals. Currently, Recyclebank has more than 4 million members across 300 communities in all 50 states. An integral member of Recyclebank’s senior leadership team, Jain will work with his team on all aspects technology, including enhancing its existing systems and architecture, as well as integrating third party tools to further expand Recyclebank’s reach and drive impact though its online platform.

Jain joins Recyclebank from WebMD, where he most recently served as vice president of engineering over analytics and data services products. In this role, Jain led WebMD’s development efforts around maximizing the value of the company’s rich data set through new product development. Jain also served as WebMD’s vice president of engineering for its consumer division, which included development responsibility for WebMD’s online properties, primarily WebMD.com. Before joining WebMD, Jain held technology roles with a number of companies across four continents.
