Record Number of Dresses Collected for Comerica Bank’s Detroit Prom Dress Drive

With more than 2,000 dresses collected, Comerica Bank’s Detroit Prom Dress Drive distributed a record total to Hope Closet. To further support Hope Closet and its community outreach, Comerica presented a $5,000 donation to Hope Closet President Whitney Drake.

In the three-year history of the Detroit Prom Dress Drive, Comerica has donated more than 4,500 dresses and contributed $10,000 to Hope Closet in support of the annual boutique that provides young women with the opportunity to attend special high school events with a dress of their choice regardless of financial constraints or limitations.

In total, 13 Comerica banking and operations centers in 11 communities throughout southeast Michigan collected dresses and accessories for Hope Closet, which run May 4-11.
